Joy Beyond Suffering
An Experience of Vishoka Meditation

We are luminous beings born of a joy so pure it is untouched by any trace of suffering. Remembering this truth empowers us to live in the world while remaining unscathed by it. Vishoka Meditation — straight out of the Yoga Sūtra — is an ancient practice incredibly relevant to the modern world. It returns us to the essence of who and what we truly are — pure joy beyond the reach of suffering.
Śrī Sūktam
Sacred Mantra for Inner Prosperity

Our ancestors invoked the essence of prosperity making it accessible to humanity. Their prayer was recorded in the Rg Veda, the most ancient spiritual text in history. We continue to invite beauty and abundance into our lives through this sacred vibration. Learn to recite this collection of powerful Sanskrit Mantras to invoke an environment of prosperity — to benefit yourself — and the whole of reality.
Pure Power
Āsana for Expansion & Ease

Yoga Āsana is one of the best tools we have for expanding our capacity as humans while simultaneously generating a greater sense of ease in our very being. Specifically, Āsana helps us to overcome and release the psychological misalignments that linger in our body. To step fully into our power we must resolve inner conflict, develop deep self-trust and infuse our intention with action — sustainably.
Infinite Vitality
Prānāyāma for Vibrant Being

The key to living an extraordinary life infused with infinite vitality is to befriend the very source of life itself. Prāṇa is this life force and the ancient yogis discovered how to work in conscious collaboration with prāṇa to maximize the gifts of humanity. These gifts culminate in an integrated vibrant way of being. Prāṇāyāma brings unconscious patterning into our awareness setting us on a path for radical liberty.
Divine Mind
Be the Change You Wish To See

Practice, practice, practice — will only get you so far. If we truly wish to set ourselves free to enjoy life to fullest, we must also engage in purposeful contemplation. If we wish to experience life as beautiful and the world as divine, we must first divinize the tool with which we perceive. We need a Divine Mind. Contemplation & Self Reflection are the unsung heroes of yoga sādhanā. Only with their influence can we attain the highest aim.

Your Guide for the Weekend
Natalie Backman — that's me!
A couple of decades ago I sheepishly entered the yoga studio at my gym in New York City wearing a pair of baggy sweatpants and an oversized hoodie. There were no mirrors, no music, no essential oils, no nothing except a surprisingly skilled teacher, an efficient sequence of postures, lots of attention brought back to the breath, uncomfortably long holds that finally gave way to a quieter mind, which I — at the time — knew of no other way to attain. And savāsana. Actual peace. It was like a drug, minus the side effects, that got increasingly effective with time.
I started going to that class every day and after about three years of a pretty dedicated practice, I decided I needed to understand what was happening to
me through those postures, that breath, the stillness and quietude. So, I moved to Los Angeles, found myself a new studio, and enrolled in a teacher training.
Flash forward. I found my way — through no coincidence — to the tradition of Tantric Yoga that I am super grateful to now call home. I've been sharing it with everyone who will give me the time of day for over a decade. It is such a huge honor to pass along the wisdom of a lineage which predates written history. Can you imagine?! I do my best to live and breathe by this wisdom everyday and, as a result, it has completely changed my life.
Now I am returning to Los Angeles — after four years of relocating to Italy —
for one week to share the techniques and philosophies responsible for this change. I began my teaching journey in LA and I am so excited to come 'home'.
