A couple of decades ago I sheepishly entered the yoga studio at my gym in New York City wearing a pair of baggy sweatpants and an oversized hoodie. There were no mirrors, no music, no essential oils, no nothing except a surprisingly skilled teacher, an efficient sequence of postures, lots of attention brought back to the breath, uncomfortably long holds that finally gave way to a quieter mind, which I — at the time — knew of no other way to attain. And savāsana. Actual peace. It was like a drug, minus the side effects, that got increasingly effective with time.

I started going to that class every day and after about three years of a pretty dedicated practice, I decided I needed to understand what was happening to

me through those postures, that breath, the stillness and quietude. So, I moved to Los Angeles, found myself a new studio, and enrolled in a teacher training.

 

Flash forward. I found my way — through no coincidence — to the tradition of  Tantric Yoga that I am super grateful to now call home. I've been sharing it with everyone who will give me the time of day for over a decade. It is such a huge honor to pass along the wisdom of a lineage which predates written history. Can you imagine?!  I do my best to live and breathe by this wisdom everyday and, as a result, it has completely changed my life.

 

Now I am returning to Los Angeles — after four years of relocating to Italy —

for one week to share the techniques and philosophies responsible for this change. I began my teaching journey in LA and I am so excited to come 'home'.​
